Most restaurants in Lagos give good food at reasonable prices, but one we go back to a lot for excellent Italian food is Don Giovanni in Rua 25 de Abril. Tel: 282763922.
The Dolphin at Pria da Luz is another special restaurant run by a South African family. Excellent food and service. Tel: 282789992.
Also Fortaleza at Pria da Luz. Speciality is Black Pig (Wild boar steaks). Tel: 282788926.
The newly built hotel on the road to Palmares golf club (can’t remember the name!) does superb nouvelle cuisine but is as bit pricey.

Shops
For furniture we would recommend Moviflor at Portimao Retail Park. Very good value for reasonably good quality goods.
For general household goods CASA at Lagos Shopping, Algarve Shopping Centre and the newly opened Portimao Retail Centre on the back road into Portimao has everything you need.
